Madeleine Day
Madeleine has recently joined the team at Roberts and Cowling. Having many years of experience in both regional and inner-city firms, Madeleine has worked on various projects, including Small Business Programs and Restructures. She understands and highly regards the importance of creating value, nurturing client relationships whilst assisting them to achieve their goals. In her spare time, Madeleine enjoys a hit at the local driving range, visiting the family farm in Country Victoria and singing along to some old-time favourites.
Kaitlyn Wilkes
Kaitlyn is our Administration Officer. Kaitlyn is your first point of contact and is more than happy to help with any queries you may have. Kaitlyn is currently studying a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and plans on moving into the accounting field on completion of her degree. Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Johannah Goschnick
Johannah is an Accountant at Roberts & Cowling who joined the team in February 2020. Johannah is currently in her final year at ACU studying a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and balances this with her role at Roberts & Cowling. She is enthusiastic, open to learning and is ready to tackle any task that is given to her. Outside of work Johannah plays hockey and enjoys spending time with family and friends
Madelyn Weston
Madelyn is our Administration Officer. Madelyn is your first point of contact and she believes no question is too big or small. She loves pointing clients in the right direction. Outside of the office, Madelyn enjoys days at the beach, road trips to unknown destinations all while currently growing her new little family.
Simone Stockton
Simone is an Accountant with Roberts & Cowling and joined the team in October 2019. Simone has many years of experience in a number of public practice firms all over Australia. She is passionate about ensuring clients work smarter not harder to achieve their goals. Simone is an adventurer and in her spare time enjoys travelling, scuba diving, snowboarding and spending time with friends and family.
I am a Certified Practicing Accountant with over 10 years of experience in various accounting roles. I have previously worked for various firms across the south eastern corridor with a particular focus on small and medium sized businesses. Within these roles I have assisted clients with taxation, business structuring, asset protection and cashflow advice to ensure clients are achieving the rewards which they have set their businesses up to achieve. Outside of the office I am an avid cricket fan playing cricket most weekends across the year and enjoy being active.
Damien has recently graduated from University with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting. Starting at Roberts & Cowling in February 2019 he is eager to develop his skills and knowledge within the accounting industry under the guidance of the experienced Roberts & Cowling team. Currently his duties include preparation of accounts and financial statements as well as working closely with a client assisting them with their inventory management. He is always keen for a chat on all sports however his main passion is cycling.
Brendan started at Roberts & Cowling in March 2019. With more than 4 years of experience Brendan has a great passion for working with clients to help them achieve their short and long term goals. He is also ready to debate sports with anyone willing to take up the challenge.
Ben Roberts
Ben is a Chartered Accountant and is one of the founding partners of Roberts & Cowling. Ben also holds a bachelor of business majoring in International Business and Management and a Masters of Professional Accounting. Ben personal purpose to help clients have the courage to make the momentous changes required to client’s businesses to radically improve their lives.   Ben believes that an accounting relationship should be one that a client values and views as integral to their business. As such, Ben believes that accountants should understand their clients and in particular their goals so that plans can be developed to achieve them. The Roberts & Cowling by-line of “easier business for life” sums Ben’s beliefs in that a business should assist owners to achieve their personal goals and they should not be a slave to their business. Outside of Roberts & Cowling, Ben is a lecturer in the accounting school at ACU and enjoys assisting students through their accounting studies. On weekends Ben is an avid sports fan. There aren’t many sports that Ben doesn’t follow in some degree but his favourites are Rugby Union, Basketball and Rugby League.
David Cowling
David’s vision is that his clients are free from the burdens of enterprise so that they can live with wealth, prosperity and perpetuate that into their tribes. David has built deep experience in the property industry including development, real estate agents and architecture. He has worked on extremely complex property taxation matters and achieved fantastic outcomes for his clients over the years. David is a founding director of the Australian Skateboarding Federation Ltd which is the national body recognised by the Australian Olympic Committee for skateboarding. While not a skateboarder himself, his passion for leadership and sport in general provides this body with valuable service. On a personal level, David enjoys triathlon, scuba diving and playing touch football. He lives on the Gold Coast with his wife and two daughters.
Nicole McMillan
Nicole has had a relationship with the Roberts & Cowling team for the past 10 years, commencing employment with us in May of 2014. Nicole splits her time within the business working closely with our clients and recently stepping into the office and client management roll. Nicole will be there to help you with any queries you may have in your bookkeeping and compliance needs. When not at work, Nicole is raising her young family, taking them on a new adventure each day.
Diane Avery
Diane is an accountant for Roberts & Cowling. Diane has many years of experience in the accounting industry specialising in Mining, Medical, Agricultural/Rural and Civil Construction. Diane also ran her own business, which she believes has given her a crucial insight into the struggles, stressors and frustrations involved in running your own business and gets incredible satisfaction from assisting clients to circumnavigate many of these issues. Diane values the client relationships that she has established over the years and enjoys getting to know her clients not just professionally, but personally; celebrating family milestones and achieving both personal and professional goals. In Diane’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, entertaining, long drives, bush walking and personal development.
Travers Bowles
Travers started in a private company to help further his understanding of the daily operations and struggles that businesses often go through before he transitioning to Roberts & Cowling. His goal is to help business owners spend less time on the back end of their business so that they are able to focus on growth and development. Building lasting relationships and being a part of client’s long term success is his passion. He is always up for a chat on the NFL, NBA, MLB or Formula 1 as outside of Roberts & Cowling he is a keen sports fan.
Michelle Marshall
Michelle joined the team in January 2010. She works closely with our bookkeeping clients on a daily basis. Michelle’s duties include data entry, reconciliations, payroll, superannuation administration and debt collection for clients. Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, camping and scuba diving in her spare time.
